Segundo seminario web del 2023 que la EDS organiza en colaboración con el Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias el marco del proyecto E5DES. El evento tiene una duración de 1,5 h y cuenta con cuatro presentaciones, tras las cuales tendrá lugar una ronda de preguntas por parte de los asistentes a las que los ponentes darán respuesta.

Guillermo Zaragoza, PhD, Leader of the Working Group “Renewable Energy Desalination” of Water Europe. Head of Solar Thermal Applications, Plataforma Solar de Almería, CIEMAT, Spain.

Prof Amos Winter, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering (with tenure).

v  Water from the sun with no batteries required: time-variant, photovoltaic-powered electro dialysis.

Prof Dr-Ing. Andrea Schaeffer, Director, Institute for Advanced Membrane Technology (IAMT), Germany.

v  Photovoltaic coupled Nano filtration and reverse osmosis for brackish water treatment: challenges for sustainable implementation and sustainable operation.

Kevin Price, Middle East Desalination Research Center MEDRC, Senior S&T Advisor and the Principal Investigator for the Oman Humanitarian Desalination Prize and Pathway Research Grants to develop a low-cost handheld desalination device, Oman.
